Refund Policy

Short version:Refunds are arranged directly between the organiser and the player. Erepoo does not issue refunds on the organiser's behalf, except where required by law or where the organiser cancels a game (for example because it didn't reach its minimum number of players), in which case every paid player is refunded.

Why this works the way it does

Erepoo is a coordination platform — we help organisers collect player payments, but we don't run the games and we have no way to verify whether a game actually happened, who showed up, or what was agreed. Putting the refund decision in the organiser's hands keeps things accountable and avoids us second-guessing private arrangements between people we've never met.

Please only pay for a game from an organiser you know and trust.

If you want a refund

  • Contact your organiser directly.The organiser's contact details appear on the game page. Explain why you can't make it and ask whether a refund or substitution is possible.
  • Settle off-platform.If the organiser agrees to refund you, they will return the money to you directly (e-Transfer, cash, or another method of their choice). Erepoo doesn't process this — the money has already been transferred from us to them.
  • Keep records.Save any messages with the organiser in case there's a dispute.

When Erepoo will refund you

There are limited situations where we step in automatically:

  • The organiser cancels the game.If an organiser cancels a game (for example because it didn't reach its minimum number of players), every paid player is refunded. You'll get an email when this happens. Refunds appear on your card in 5–10 business days.
  • A clear platform error. For example: you were charged twice for the same booking, or the game page was fraudulently impersonating someone.
  • Where Canadian consumer-protection law requires it. We comply with applicable refund obligations.

If the organiser refuses to refund you

We're sorry — that's a dispute between you and them, and we don't have the authority to compel a refund. If you believe you've been defrauded (the organiser took payment with no intention of running a game), email us at the address below and we'll investigate and may suspend the organiser's account; we still can't guarantee recovery of your payment.

You may also be able to dispute the charge with your card issuer (chargeback). We respond to all chargeback requests in good faith.

Service fees

When a refund is issued, the platform service fee is refunded to you along with the rest of the payment.
